Common questions about pricing
No hidden fees. The price you see on the Pricing page is the total you pay, including HST. There are no setup fees, no admin fees, no per-photo upload charges, no premium placement fees beyond what’s already included in Master Pro. We don’t run aggressive upsell campaigns inside the contractor dashboard — what you bought is what you get. If we ever change pricing, existing listings keep their original terms until expiry.
Never. Once a homeowner contacts you through your listing, the entire relationship is yours. We don’t take a percentage of any work, we don’t ask for kickbacks, we don’t track which jobs you close, and we don’t require you to report bookings. Your invoicing, your contract, your payment terms — all stay between you and your customer. The only money you ever pay us is the one-time listing fee.
Everything is preserved in our system, just hidden from public search. Your profile, photos, descriptions, service areas and any reviews remain in your account exactly as you left them. When you renew, your listing reactivates immediately with everything intact — same URL, same content, same reviews. No need to rebuild from scratch.
We do not issue refunds once your listing is published — our hosting, payment processing and platform costs are incurred immediately when you purchase. However, if there’s a technical issue on our side (extended platform downtime, broken search, your listing not displaying correctly) we’ll extend your listing duration to make up for the lost time. The 30-day Starter plan is the lowest-risk way to test the platform before committing to a longer term.
Yes, at renewal time. When your current plan expires, you can renew with any of the three plans — same one, upgrade, or downgrade. We don’t support mid-cycle plan changes, but you can purchase a new plan at any time to replace an expiring one. If you want to upgrade early before your current plan expires, the new plan starts immediately and your old one ends — contact us to coordinate.
No. All three plans are one-time payments — there is no auto-renewal, no subscription, no surprise charges. When your 30, 45 or 90 days run out, your listing simply moves to archive and stops appearing in search. We send one email reminder near expiry, and the rest is up to you. You decide whether to renew, switch plans, or do nothing.
We accept all major credit cards through Stripe — Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We do not accept cash, e-transfer, cheques or wire transfers.
Our uptime promise
We don’t offer refunds, but we stand behind our service. If Carpenter Bee experiences extended downtime, search failure or any technical issue that prevents your listing from being visible to homeowners — we’ll extend your listing duration by the time you lost, no questions asked. Your money buys you visibility; if we don’t deliver visibility, we make it right.
